Melrose at Otronicon!

image1

Otronicon is currently underway at the Orlando Science Center, and the Melrose Center is exhibiting for its second year. Our staff get to meet and introduce people to what their local library offers its cardholders…for FREE. At our exhibit, visitors will encounter a retro game theme with a twist. Our Photo and Video stations feature props and settings from popular video games from your childhood. The Audio station features a MIDI controller that can be used to create 8-bit beats. We also provide information about classes and programs offered in the Melrose Center to help design and create costumes…at least, the basics. Players of our staff-created game will get the chance to aim for the High Score to win a prize!  If you come out to Otronicon over the next two days, we hope you’ll stop by the Deluxe Birthday Room on Level 1 to meet us!

If you’ve already visited and had your photo taken, you can view and download images here. (Images will be uploaded at the end of each day.)

Our Photo Instructor, Winny, designed and created a DIY backdrop for the photobooth!

Day 2: a line formed for the green screen around lunch time. So much fun!
