Melrose Service Availability Update

We are happy to announce that the two Editing Bays are now available for reservation. The Editing Bays provide access to computers with professional editing software and are a great place for you to edit your audio and video projects. Once you’ve completed the General Orientation, you can reserve an Editing Bay for your next project!

The Flight Simulator in the Melrose Center’s Sim Lab will be available for reservation starting in April! Your dreams of flying planes can finally become reality—virtual reality, that is. To reserve the simulator, you’ll need to attend the General Orientation and participate in a brief assessment that will test your proficiency using the controls and equipment. If you’ve never used a flight simulator, don’t despair, we have a hands-on flight simulation class that will teach you everything you need to know. We encourage you to register for the Flight Simulator: Introduction to Aeronautics class before you participate in the assessment.

Give us a call at 407.835.7323 or visit the Center for more information.

Hope to see you soon!

  1. I am a board member with WID (Women in Defense). As Programs Chair, I am tasked with finding unique locations to tour and visit.

How can I set up a tour for our group of about 25 women?

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Hello:
My daughter is convinced that she saw apple computers when we took part in the orientation. Do you have apples? She is also interested in using Adobe software to create art. Do you have anything like that? I apologize for my technology ignorance. 🙂

Hi, Patricia– Your daughter was right! There are 6 shiny Mac Pro Editing Workstations in the Melrose Center. They are all loaded with the Adobe Master Collection, which would be great for the types of projects that seem to interest her. We have some really neat classes as well, so be sure t check out our class calendar! Cheers!

We are embarking on a Production company project, a featuer length film, and are working to be funded through Kickstarter. But we need the first five minute PROFESSIONAL video and we have been asking friends where to start. Then one of our boardmembers said, Melrose Center.
We took the Orientation tour, and thank you.
This center makes it possible to go from a scritp to a the real deal. Thanks, we will be back to take the rest of the more specific orientations and may even use the editing facility for the entire movie. The Melrose Center will make dreams come to life. Thanks Jeff
