I was happy to read about Kendrick Melrose’s million-dollar gift to the Orlando Public Library. This was not only because I am a regular user of the library, but because I remember him in high school. It was rumored that he even had a chemistry lab in his basement. Ken was a good student, and today we would call him a geek.
