2024 Melrose Awards
To celebrate the Melrose Center’s 10th Anniversary, we’re bringing back the Melrose Awards for 2024!
Categories:
- Audio – Voice Only (podcast episodes, voiceover parts, audio book recordings)
- Audio – Music (songs/beats with or without vocals)
- Fiber Arts (sewing, crocheting, knitting, quilting)
- Graphic Design
- Maker (utilizing Fab Lab tools)
- Photography
- Videography
- Video Game Development
Contest Rules & Eligibility Requirements:
- Participants must have completed the Melrose Center General Orientation.
- The contest is open to all ages. Entries for contestants under the ages of 18 must be submitted by a guardian.
- The project must be the participants’ original creation.
- The project needs to have been at least partially created using Melrose Center resources. AI tools may only be used to enhance a project, not to create the work itself.
- The project can be created by more than one person, but must be submitted by a designated adult member of the group.
- Projects serving as crowdsourcing will not be accepted.
- Projects must be submitted in the form of a web address that leads directly to the image, audio file, video, etc. Access to the file must not require a login.
- Limit one entry per category.
- OCLS staff and immediate family are not eligible.
- The Library reserves the right to disqualify and entry.
- The Library reserves the right to not have an award winner in a category.
Each submission requires the following:
- Title
- Link
- Embed Code (optional)
- Description
- Description of how the Melrose Center was used for the project
Submission period is May 1st – August 31st. The Winners will be announced at Melrose Awards Presentation on November 9th.
